Flower Girl quilts are finally available in my shop! I’m so excited! It has been such a dream to bring these designs to life. I always wondered what it would be like to design quilt patterns using my very own fabric collection. Can someone please pinch me? I still can't believe it! I had so much fun designing these quilts to showcase the collection. There's something for everyone– precut-friendly quilts, my signature floral quilts, and more. I hope you love them.

Vintage Stitching - Moda Boxed Kit

Inspiration:

From the time I can remember, my parents were cross stitching. It was both my parents' favorite hobby. Every wall was filled with beautiful framed cross stitch and every pillow on the couch was some type of cross stitch. I learned at a young age how to cross stitch and I began making all sorts of things, rummaging through my mother’s cross stitch thread and books. To be honest, I’m not ever sure I finished any of the projects I started. I was always drawn to my mother’s floral cross stitch patterns the most. I really wish I could remember the name of a set of hardcover floral cross stitch books she had. I would spend hours trying to find the perfect cross stitch design, just to run out of time to actually make it. When I was designing new quilt patterns, I just knew I had to design a cross stitch-inspired quilt. I wanted a simple rose that cascaded down the quilt, alternating directions. I have never made anything like it and I really enjoyed slowing down and focusing on the project. Similarly to cross stitching, it's no quick task, but the outcome is beautiful. The quilt has an option for curved corners which adds a special touch to the final quilt. I included an alternate size option in the pattern–a larger cross stitch rose, perfect for a baby quilt or wall hanging.

Granny’s Daisies:

Inspiration:

I have mentioned my granny as being an inspiration in my past designs before, but I am so honored to be able to design an entire quilt inspired by her love of flowers and crochet. My granny always had balls of yarn out and granny square crocheted afghans everywhere. I loved looking at each one of her afghans because they were so colorful. I wanted to mix her and my love of flowers with this crochet-inspired quilt. I really enjoyed making this quilt. I love a good pierced border and the additional curved corners were a plus. The quilt can easily be made into a smaller or large quilt by adding or subtracting blocks. Three of the border units equal one block, so you can easily adjust the border to fit the perfect size quilt for you. Also, using one color for the entire background changed the look of the quilt. It's so versatile!

Garden Gate:

Inspiration:

I love a good Irish Chain quilt. I have been wanting to design a more feminine Irish Chain quilt for so long. I added flowers and made the Irish Chain blocks more unique, which get larger and smaller as your eye moves throughout the quilt. I was inspired by a wooden lattice that you would find in a garden. This quilt uses an entire jelly roll and background fabric–nothing more.

Sweet Spools:

Inspiration:

I have really been loving spools lately! I thought it would be so fun to make a quilt with spools, bows, and flowers. This quilt uses 2 of the Flower Girl panels. It's so versatile–you could make all the spools have bows or all of them have the panel center. I also wrote instructions on how to cut down the panel and hope to make EPP hexagon flowers for when the day the panel isn’t available. I have been making so many cute pillows with just one spool and an EPP flower. It's a great way to try out EPP without committing to a larger project. I also thought it would be fun to showcase one of my favorite prints in the entire collection. That sage green with little ditzy trios gets me everytime.

My first-ever layer cake-friendly quilt! I never thought I would be able to design something so cute, but Petal Patches is just darling. Get the best of both worlds with these tulips and patchwork blocks. I love a quilt that has simple blocks but looks challenging. This quilt really showcases the fabric collection beautifully.

Megan was the very first quilter that quilted my quilts. We go way back to the beginning! I was so delighted to have her quilt a Flower Girl quilt for me.

Easter is one of my favorite holidays. How could I resist Easter baskets with bows? The Flower Girl collection definitely can feel like an Easter line with its soft pastel colors. Y'all know how I like to add bows to everything, so these baskets are perfectly tied with a bow.
